Eating Disorder Informed Care is a community-driven initiative grounded in the expertise of experienced clinicians and the voices of those with lived experience.

Nearly one third (30%) of Canadians report having thoughts and behaviours that are consistent with, or at high risk to develop an eating disorder (ED). These serious but treatable mental illnesses that often go undiagnosed. Despite the growing need, only 10% receive appropriate treatment. Many individuals feel healthcare providers aren't equipped to support them, and many clinicians report feeling under-trained in EDs.

This 90 day self-paced program provides professional, foundational knowledge to help you deliver evidence-based, inclusive, and compassionate care to individuals affected by EDs.

This course was incredibly impactful...it helped me see beyond the disorder—to better recognize the person behind it and understand the profound power of connection in the healing process. I highly recommend this training to clinicians dedicated to providing thoughtful, wraparound care for every client they serve.”

- Claire G.

“I think this is a really valuable resource for clinicians of any kind. I appreciate how it balanced expert clinical insights with lived-experience perspectives. I’m pleased that this is a community-driven effort to drive a broader understanding of an illness that has been left out of so many mental health conversations"

- Zoë F.

”This course was fantastic! It was nice to have a variety of facilitators as it kept me engaged and gave multiple perspectives. It helped to debunk a lot of stereotypes and I believe will allow practitioners to approach working with ED clients in a more non-judgemental way, as the course focused a lot on the meaning behind the ED. I would definitely recommend this training! "
